The cpation to this image, which appeared in ‘Le Monde Illustré’ implied that Spinelly had greeted three lioncubs on their arrival at Le Bourget in 1923 after they were flown by with trainer from Amsterdam – it wasn’t clear if she owned the lioncubs.
